Olympic
Park, with a floor space of 430,000 pyeong,
is a place where people can enjoy the aura
of culture along with the lush surroundings
of nature in the heart of historic Seoul.
Though it is housed in a modern city crowded
with buildings, asphalt and exhaust smoke
from vehicles, it is still one of the five
prominent Sculpture Parks in the world today.
Filled with 204 sculpture pieces and 8 formative
art pieces, Olympic Park provides people with
opportunities to appreciate artwork in a comfortable
setting that is easily accessible.
The newly presented SOMA Museum of Art
includes a sculpture park, reconstructed on
the basis of each thematic subject, various
types of exhibition halls, studios for art
education, multipurpose rooms for events,
and other diverse convenience facilities. |
